Welcome to Needle and Thread Sewing Academy, where imagination takes shape! We're more than just a sewing school – we're a non-profit community dedicated to nurturing creativity in everyone. Whether you're an eager beginner (age seven and up), a seasoned stitcher perfecting your craft, or a young talent dreaming of the runway, we have classes, events, and resources to help you succeed.nnLike our passionate founder, Brenda Clesi, we believe in "sewing seeds of creativity." Our academy is a place where scissors and laughter go hand in hand, where basic stitches transform into amazing creations, and where every student builds not just projects, but also friendships and unshakeable confidence.

Needle & Thread Summer School 2026

🎉 Join Us for the 2026 Geaux Sew Summer Camp at Needle & Thread! 🧵

Geaux Sew Summer Camp 2026 is a full-day, hands-on sewing camp for students who have completed 1st grade through 8th grade.

n

n

Camp runs 9:00 AM–3:00 PM in a small group setting of 6–8 campers, allowing for personalized instruction and a supportive, creative environment.

n

n

No sewing experience is required. All materials, supplies, and sewing machines are provided. Campers will work on all-new projects for 2026, including Rag Quilts and an Upcycling Clothing Design project, while building confidence, creativity, and lasting friendships.

n

n

Tuition: $275 per camper per week (early bird and sibling discounts available).

n

Scholarships: Limited scholarships may be available as grant funding allows.

n

Campers should bring a packed lunch; daily snacks are provided.
